The Pacific Bay Inn

The Pacific Bay Inn located at 520 Jones Street in San Francisco was the first building to be master-leased by the Department of Public Health to service the homeless population of San Francisco. It was first leased in 1999 by a local non-profit and is now leased directly by the City and County of San Francisco. The building is located in the upper Tenderloin district just south of Geary Boulevard next door to Dottie’s Restaurant, one of the most popular breakfast restaurants in the city.

Details & Amenities

The Pacific Bay Inn has 75 spacious SRO units with and an elevator to service all floors. All units come furnished including bedding and towels. Every unit has a wall heater, a closet, at least one large window, blinds, a twin size bed frame and mattress, a mini refrigerator, a microwave, and a cabinet for food or clothing storage.  Every unit has a private bath with a toilet, shower or bath, and sink.  The Pacific Bay Inn also has a coin-operated laundry room on site, as well as a limited access community kitchen with a 52-inch television. The Pacific Bay Inn offers around the clock front desk operations to oversee the front door and every floor at all times.

Programming

The Pacific Bay Inn has a wonderful Department of Public Health Support Services Staff available to tenants Monday through Friday. In addition, the building is staffed 24-hours per day by DISH Property Management staff. The two teams work hand in hand to ensure the best service to keep our residents successfully housed. Services include individual case management, weekly food distribution, community events, and holiday parties. Various additional events are offered each month and are advertised in the monthly calendar.
