Jim Goldberg is a lawyer with the international law firm of Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner, LLC, where his practice concentrates on complex commercial litigation. Jim is also one of the hosts of the monthly meeting of the San Francisco Real Estate Investment Forum, which is sponsored by the firm. Prior to joining Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner, Jim was a partner at Folger, Levin & Kahn, where he practiced for twenty-three years. Jim is a graduate of Yale University and the University of Chicago Law School. After law school, Jim was a federal district court clerk.
Jim joined the board of DISH in 2015. Working on Mission Street, Jim sees daily the toll that living on the street takes on the mentally ill and homeless.
Jim’s wife is the Executive Director of Episcopal Charities of the Diocese of California, and his son is the founder along with Professor Dean Karlan of Impact Matters, a non-profit that does evidence based audits of charities to determine their effectiveness in accomplishing their goals.
