Giving Thanks for Our Volunteers

Johnson Controls at the Le Nain
They came, they saw, and they conquered the dirt at the Le Nain!

This past weekend was Thanksgiving, and one of the things that we at DISH are thankful for is the fabulous volunteers from Johnson Controls and Hands On Bay Area who came by the Le Nain and the Star last month. Just look at a few of the comments from some of our General Managers:

“Johnson Controls staff from all over the world painted the community area at the Star Hotel yesterday and made it look brand new. “ –Lois Butler, General Manager, Star Hotel

“Johnson Controls staff from all over the world converged on Le Nain Hotel, and made the building as clean and appealing as it was on the day it opened in 1907.” –Jack Maclean, General Manager, Le Nain

Johnson Controls volunteers came in, along with Hands-On Bay Area volunteers, and scrubbed clean the Le Nain as well as painting the community room and hallways of the Star. In addition, Johnson Controls very generously donated $2000 for further improvements here at DISH sites.

What a sense of community: volunteers coming in from outside of DISH to help us make our hotels better and more beautiful for our tenants, working and sweating alongside us. And Wow! We put in a lot of work together. So thank you so much, Johnson Controls, and thank you so much, DISHers, for the hard work you all put in to make this project a reality.

DISH’s mission is to help end homelessness via excellent property management services; thank you all for helping us take one more step toward that goal.
