Tenant Satisfaction & Appreciation

Early in 2012, we wrapped up tabulation of the results of DISH’s fifth Tenant Satisfaction Survey. Once again, the results were overwhelmingly positive: 84% of tenants completed the survey and reported a rate of 93% satisfaction. DISH’s contract with the Department of Public Health sets an expectation to attain an 85% satisfaction rate, but DISH has set a remarkably consistent and high standard: wavering only 1% between 92-93% satisfaction for the past 5 years of the survey. We are so proud of all of the hard work of our staff who help keep our tenants feeling great about living in a DISH property.

Last year, we started a new DISH tradition of showing our appreciation to our tenants for their successes at becoming and staying housed as part of the DISH community. The party we threw was an overwhelming success with over 100 tenants in attendance—the first event of its kind to bring together DISH tenants across all six sites just for the sake of having a good time together. The middle of this month, we will be holding our second annual Tenant Appreciation Party. We aim to honor our tenants with a fun afternoon of food, art, performance, games, a photo booth, and more. We look forward to continuing to support a strong community to strengthen our tenants’ pride in themselves and in their housing. …And you can’t call this pandering because the satisfaction survey results are already in!

We would love to have you help us honor our tenants by celebrating with us next week. Join us for a Toast to Our Tenants on May 10, 5:30-8:00pm at Andalu restaurant and bar in the Mission (16th & Guerrero). Come and have some drinks for a happy hour, stay for dinner afterward, and have a great time hanging out with other DISH supporters. 25% of your food and drink revenues will be generously donated by Andalu to support the costs of the Tenant Appreciation Party. Join us in the mezzanine (no reservation required); we can’t wait to see you there!
