Senior General Manager, Auburn and Minna Lee
Deje has been with DISH for three years. She was born and raised here in San Francisco and grew up in the Bayview–Hunters Point district. Before coming to DISH, she completed several administrative and property management assignments through various temporary agencies. When she was assigned to work at the Auburn as the temporary Assistant General Manager, she was able to gain insight and learn about DISH’s overall mission. During her assignment at the Auburn, she felt welcomed by DISH staff and felt a part of the DISH family. The amazing work that DISH does with its residential communities led her to apply for a permanent position within the organization.
What is home for you?
Home is not a place; it is a feeling. A feeling of safety, comfort, happiness, a sense of belonging. Building community with tenants and staff contributes to the overall feeling of “Home” at DISH. Being housed in a community sets the tone for making a house a home.
Fun Fact:
My favorite hobby is making organic body care products. I love mixing, testing ingredients, and producing new fragrances for body butters and soaps. My favorite ingredient that I like to use in my products is coconut oil, it has a high fatty acid content that can be used in several ways for hair and skin.
