I’ve been here in DISH supportive housing about 10 years I think. My favorite spot in San Francisco is Market and Powell. Sometimes, they be having some bands down there. I used to be a street performer myself. Since I was 10 years old, I’ve been in talent shows, rallies, a few bands and things like that. You know what. I’m still in a band now. I saw lotsa live music back in the day. I saw James Brown live when I was about 13 probably, and the Temptations, the Whispers. I started singing when I was 10 years old, and I always gotta stay on the good foot. People like me and they still ask me, when I’m going to start back again. People like bus drivers and police officer ask “would you sing for us?” (singing ala James Brown) “Now…I said now…I gotta get on the good foot…alright I said…1, 2, 3, 4…” How ya like me now?
